Solventum warning: do not use on premature infants or infants younger than 2 months (hypersensitivity or necrosis). Safety and effectiveness have not been established in children under 18. Indications

  • CVCs including PICC, subclavian, jugular, femoral (Solventum suggested applications)
  • Dialysis, arterial, short peripheral I.V., midline, epidural and other percutaneous devices
  • Not for premature infants or infants under 2 months

How to use (IFU highlights)

  1. Allow antiseptics and skin protectants to dry completely (3M PICC leaflet).
  2. Place so the CHG gel pad covers the insertion site; do not stretch the dressing; press from the gel pad outward.
  3. Apply notched securement strip and documentation strip as in the IFU.
  4. Removal: low-and-slow; use sterile alcohol, water or saline to release the gel pad (3M).
  5. Change at least every 7 days, or if loose, soiled, gel pad displaced, swelling or lost visibility.

Home dressing visit (optional)
