Hydrogel Dressings

Hydrogel dressings add moisture to dry, sloughy or necrotic wounds and soothe painful wounds. Their high water content rehydrates the wound bed and supports the body's natural (autolytic) debridement. EMIS+ supplies hydrogel dressings and gels in Singapore.

When hydrogel is used

Hydrogel suits dry wounds, minor burns and wounds with dead tissue that needs softening. It is not intended for heavily exuding wounds, which need an absorbent dressing such as foam or alginate instead. A secondary dressing is usually applied over the gel.
