Product Overview
SIGVARIS Advance II (Advance Class 2) is a circular-knit compression arm sleeve delivering graduated 20-25 mmHg compression from wrist to axilla. The garment is part of SIGVARIS' Advance range, which is engineered for patients who require lower-profile, softer-hand compression than the 500 Traditional (natural rubber) series. Microfibre yarns are incorporated to create a textile that is latex-free, hypoallergenic and suitable for daily long-term wear.
The Sensinnov silicone-dot grip-top is designed to reduce constrictive pressure at the axillary interface and limit slippage during upper-limb movement, addressing one of the common adherence issues for patients wearing arm sleeves during daytime activity. The "Without Mitten" configuration is intended for patients whose oedema is confined proximal to the wrist or who use a separate gauntlet or compression glove for hand-only coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is Advance II preferred over the 503 Traditional Class 2 sleeve?
Advance II (20-25 mmHg) offers softer fabric hand, latex-free construction and lighter daytime profile compared with the 503 Traditional natural-rubber sleeve (23-32 mmHg). It is appropriate where the patient has documented latex sensitivity, prefers a cosmetically lower-profile garment, or where the prescribing therapist has determined 20-25 mmHg is sufficient for maintenance therapy.
Why choose the "Without Mitten" variant?
This configuration is appropriate when hand oedema is absent, when the patient prefers manual dexterity uncompromised by a mitten, or when a separate compression gauntlet/glove is already prescribed. Clinicians should assess hand volume at each review to confirm that an arm-only garment remains clinically appropriate.
How do I size correctly for the Advance II sleeve?
Measure circumferences at the wrist (cC), mid-forearm (cD), mid-upper-arm (cF) and axilla (cG), plus arm length (lF) from wrist to axilla. Measurements are taken in the morning before fluid accumulation and should be re-taken at every scheduled replacement interval.
Is this garment registered with HSA Singapore?
Yes. SIGVARIS Advance is a CE-marked medical device under EU MDR 2017/745 and is registered with Singapore's Health Sciences Authority (HSA). EMIS Pte Ltd is an authorised Singapore distributor supplying healthcare institutions and certified lymphoedema therapists.
How often should the garment be replaced?
Replace every six months of regular daily wear, in line with SIGVARIS and ILF guidance, to maintain the certified compression gradient. Clinics should schedule limb re-measurement and garment re-fitting at each replacement cycle.
